BigQuery

Google's serverless warehouse. Where we send data when Postgres stops being the right home.

BigQuery is a serverless, pay-per-query data warehouse built for analytics at any scale. It is our default destination when operational Postgres is not the right place for analytical workloads or when data volumes outgrow a single database.

Deliberate, not decorative.

We stream events and daily snapshots from Postgres into BigQuery, run dbt models to shape the data, then point Metabase and Looker at the results. Pay-per-query pricing means we can hold years of data without paying for idle capacity.

  • Multi-source analytics combining Stripe, CRM, product, and marketing data
  • Long-term event storage for product analytics
  • Machine-learning features built directly inside BigQuery ML
  • Regulatory reporting with full historical audit trails
  • Analytics queries that bog down the production database
  • Data trapped in separate SaaS tools with no unified view
  • Warehouses with fixed capacity that either overpay or run out of room
